The photographic series explores how imagery is used to excite and control. As consumers of desire, dreams and affirmation, sexualized bodies on billboards and screens are temporarily filling those needs. These images do not exist without governing and controlling the viewer. Working as a cinematographer on several porn sets, Vidø got an insight into the heteronormative industry which is shaping our perception of bodies - often female presenting - and how they are used as tools to serve a proritised male audience.
